Default GT vs RSX Type S

Same car I lost to when I was completely stock, though I beat him from a DIG 2x.

Raced him again, results were similar for the rolls.. to my surprise, he pulled about a car twice but I had to stop due to traffic in my lane up ahead both times. Both runs were 60-100... not really the sweet spot for a 3800lb. automatic w/4.10s lol.

From a DIG though, it was pretty nasty. I pulled by like 5-6 cars. I have a feeling if we were to race from a roll on a longer stretch of road the GT would no doubt come out ahead judging from the results of this race.

Exhaust cut outs were CLOSED on these runs, I DEFINETLY felt a lack of HP from when they were opened. I didn't open them up because I didn't think I was gonna race. They help out ALOT judging from the butt dyno.

lol

I can't wait to go supercharger.. then it won't even be a race.

It'll be more like ' bye bye'.

WTF is up with the RSX? Shouldn't that be a mid-high 14 second car???

It is. Maybe with intake/race header/exhaust it could compete but I'm thinking it was a good spot for the rsx because 60 is right at the beginning of the vtec window in 3rd gear.

I'm assuming the RSX was blown? There are quite a few out there that are.

well, from what I hear he has the j-spec RSX Type R motor, bolt ons and Hondata tune.

He was running a 14.0@103 when we raced at the track, during that race I hit a 13.5@103. That day I was running 13.4s all day long that day, so it's safe to assume that from a roll we'd be pretty much even.

Though quite honestly, he had REALLY strong mid range power from 60-100 on those roll runs. We also went from a 10 mph roll and I only beat him by like a car up to 120.

I used to WHOOP on that exact same car in my stage 2 skittle.. by like 10 cars rofl!

So he's probably making like 250hp at the motor? I couldn't see a J-spec motor making much more with just bolt-ons but then again I have limited knowledge when it comes to B series motors.

racing 60-100 and you're running into traffic? be safer man, obviously that wasn't a good time to be street racing.

The RSX type s has a k20z3 rated at about 210 hp, the j spec engines are about 225, even with bolt ons and a hondata tune he'd be at about 260 hp. I can't see someone spending all that money to have a motor shipped over to the US for maybe 15-20 hp more, so maybe its just a regular k20 with bolt ons.
