I know its a little OT, but what'd you run? Oh and painters tape and pam is what I've seen used.

no it's fairly common for me to leave the house clean and come back with engine grease and other car excrement on me...so she shrugged it off

Spray Vegetable Oil (Pam) works but all the grit and dirt form the track ends up in it and its not water soluble so be careful or you will scratch your car wiping it off.

Somebody asked this a few weeks ago. You don't have to tape up your car or anything. When you get home, go in the cupboard and get some peanut butter and use it to wipe it off. It's an old hot rodders trick. It works, just don't eat it after you've wiped off the rubber :-)

Trust me, it works.

PS. Smooth peanut butter is preferred over chunky
