anyone got any tips on how to keep rubber off your car while at the track?

I taped off the back bumper once, looked kind of gay since I was using blue painters tape on a red car. Haven't done it since.

I think STK uses some kind of clear adhesive plastic, might try that out.

Getting all the rubber off my bumper is the biggest PITA!

Also heard spraying Pam helps, but I've never tried it.

Seen other people use painters tape too. FWIW I've seen a lot of cars at the track that didn't look very good but hauled ***.

shoe polish + paint doesn't seem like a goo idea, so i'll try pam tonight

I have used Stoner's Tar/somethingelse remover spray for AFTER the track, and it worked nicely.

You could just tape the tires instead, that way no pieces of rubber should ever splatter onto the QP/bumper.

I'd like to see how well the PAM will keep the rubber **** off, though.

blue painter's tape... who cares if you look like an *** as long as you can keep your paint looking great and toss around some rice burners while you're at it

^ I like his idea. I have also seen guys use car wax, don't know how well that works though.
