Went to the track, and got some questions?

Headwind probably didn't help for sure. The weather conditions were practically identical, so that's not a major factor. Could be things like heat soak, how quickly you were shifting(some days you're slower than other days) etc etc. Could even be things like fuel quality that effect it as well.

1. I lose 2 mph in a 16 mph headwind but Im 10 mph slower so that might effect you more.
2. One track I frequent is slightly down hill to the 1/8 and up until the 1/4. Its within NHRA/IHRA tolerence but it slows my 1/4 mi 1.0 mph compared to a flat track. My ET is the same for both tracks.
3. Was the speed the same in both lanes? Someone may have hit the light and it might have been a little off when they put it back.
4. Is Sacramento run to modern NHRA standards? If not it may have the old speed traps where they had two lights, one before and one after to get speed at the finish line. NHRA moved to using the light before and the finish line to try and keep the speed of Top Fuelers below 300 mph. The old arrangement was 2 mph faster.
