Trigger at the track (56k beware)
Hey guys, never posted in the section. Never had reason to until now.
This was my first time at the track (Lebanon Valley Dragway, Nassau, NY). I don't mean just my first time racing. I mean my first time at the track at all. So, this was all new to me. My buddy talked me into it a while ago, and after a few rained out weeks, the weather finally provided a great night for racing.
Second race of the night... took down a 2010 Camaro! Yeah, yeah, yeah, it was just a Test & Tune night. It's not about competing. But, I gotta be honest with you, when I got the time slip and saw "WINNER" in my column...
Man, that felt good!
So, first race, some sorta newer looking Audi. Had no idea what was in the other lane until it was over though. That first run was all kind of a blur. Butterflies were full-on.
Second run, Yellow 2010 Camaro. As we staged I thought "well, this should be interesting". Man, seeing that yellow blur out of the corner of my eye the whole time was awesome.
Third run, new looking Corvette. Knew I never had a chance.
Last run, and I do mean "last run", I was in the last run of the night, what I think was maybe a suped-up early 90s flat black Celica? Can't say for sure though until I get the rest of the pics from my buddy. Speedy little guy whatever he was.
Okay, I know what your waiting for, so here it is...
(*two of them were printed on yellow, and didn't scan very well, so I added text that's a bit more readable.)

Congrats on getting out there and having a good time. Those slips sure do look like first timer slips.
Sixty foot, not so good.
Reaction time was awesome though!!!! EDIT Just noticed your in a 6 cylinder. Not bad at all for a six!

Running a sixxer made it easier for my buddy to talk me into this. Less expectations. Less pressure.
I have no idea where those reaction times came from. I figured the first run must have been a fluke, but then the rest of the runs just kept dialing in. I guess I must have been doing something right.
Don't sweat those reaction times. You can sit at the light for three days if you want to. Your ET doesn't start until your car is in motion.
I try to take my time and get my launch perfect instead of trying to nail the tree just right. Bracket racing is a different story though.
