lol thanks 83, etc.

The NT05s certainly offer more traction than the stock pirellis. I got the results I wanted. TBH they are meant more for road racing than drag. I haven't tested them on a road course.. Heard lots of good things though. Incidentally I have Invo up front. The car should be noticeably better through the twisties than it was bone stock. Just haven't taken the time to put that to the test.

Instead of the DS why don't you get a pair of DRs, put them on your stock rims and be done with it. You can definitely knock 2tenths of right there and then you'll have your 12 second run(corrected)

BTW I know about your whole "band-aid" debate but I think it's stupid(no offense)lol. You are racing at the track so why not get racing tires???.......btw it would save you money too.

Also what rpm are you shifting at??? you might be able to cut some time on that too

Good run BTW........

I don't have a line lock yet and didn't want to deal with having to do a burnout before every attempt. I wanted tires that would last a couple years (saving for blower) while giving me noticeably better grip over the stock pirellis. When I get the car paid off in a year or get the blower I'll buy drag radials and a line lock. Whatever drag radial I get will have to fit an 18" rim. I have no intention of using separate tires/wheels for the track even when I get the blower. I'll just suck it up and pay the money for new tires when I need them.

I was shifting at around 6250-6500rpm.

As for pics of the tires I'm using. I'm not home so can't post a larger one. You can see a small one in my signature.

That's understandable, I've yet to perform a good burnout at the track. I'm using similar tires too on my Deep Dish Fr500 18s....285NT555s. They're decent and gave me a 2.0 60' too but overall arent great at the track and the 18s do weigh you down a lot.

As far as shifting at what rpm I was gonna say that 6500rpm is supposedly the way to go. I only tried it my last time at the track but it was so hot out I cant tell whether it helped(best of the day-13.6) did you notice any difference between 6k and 6500?

Just look at your dyno graph. That should help you tons.

I considered sticking with 17s when I got wheels but the tire selection is terrible. The only drag radial that will look good on a non lowered car is the M&H 275. That's pretty much IT. Everything else including MT will either not fit a 17x9 safely or will result in a bigger fender well gap. The 18s were the best compromise. Easy to get a 10" rim and the tire selection is better. Down side is the added weight.

I honestly haven't shifted at 6000 on the track. Everyone around here always says to go for 6500. Including brenspeed, the ones that wrote my tune. That's why they up the limiter.

Shifting at 6k is a little too soon, unless you're trying to avoid spinning going into gear.

with your dyno information, i would shift at 6500, as your power drops off just after that.

racing at a high DA sucks. Best DA ive had this year was 8150!
