Default How did I do....

First season running my 2005 GT at the track here is the break down:

2005 Mustang GT 83K miles, manual
Street Tires 255/50/17
Mods:
C&L Intake
Pipes Non Catted X-pipe
Custom Tune via HP tuners done by myself and F-body buddy.

Best ET & trap
13.47 @104.9 with 2.12 60ft
Best 60ft 2.03

Racing @ gateway in St Louis. Car is a consistent 13.5 @104 car probably made about 20 passes this year and 75% were at this range.

Things I learned:
Wheel hop over 3K launch
3V's hate heat soak drastic timing impact
Tuning your own is pretty darn fun
I need suspension, tires, clutch and a 125shot by next spring to see if I can get 111mph traps out of it.

13.5s are real good. Is there room to improve? sure there is.

I'd say you're on the right track, but there is definitely room for improvement. Getting that 60' down in the 1.8-1.9 range and you'll have real low 13s, maybe even a high 12 with some great driving.

Looks dead on to me. You should see some 106+ traps and low 13s later this year when it cools off some more. What's your location and what were the weather conditions?

2005 GTs have 3.55 gearing, right?

St Louis so gateway international is the track. 3.55's are the gears. I'm pretty sure on the crap street tires I have getting much below a 2.0 is going to be that once in a lifetime shot that I will have a hard time duplicating. Very fine line with bog and spin and wheel hop on the stock suspension on these cars. I'm torn for next years plan if I want to improve the suspension and tire combo or maybe put the 100 - 125 shot to it. I eventually want to build a forced induction bottom end and push for 550 - 600 crank. A 120MPH trap would be the goal for a nice street and strip car.

Nice times on your car. Got a buddy with a trans-am that just finished a cam upgrade its a 4:10's car, 6 speed, full bolt on with DR's. Its a 113 trap speed car before the cam hoping for 117 - 118 with it.
