Default First attempt post-Whipple

This was the last track weekend of the year as the snow will start flying in about 4 weeks (shudder).

My best run of the day was against a Charger R/T with the 5.7 Hemi.
Hero - Villian
RT 1.22 - 0.5870 (Wasn't trying to cut a light)
60' 1.68 - 2.29
1/8 7.81@89.45 - 9.27@78.12
1/4 12.07@118.73 - 14.24@ 96.19

He disappeared in the rear view like stationary object.

Win 1.533 secs

Now here was a grudge match, 2009 Challenger w/ Nitrous. I don't know how big the shot was, but I knew I had to cut a light because he would be competitive. The challenger put down 407whp w/o nitrous (we were both tuned by the same person)

Hero - Villian
RT 0.53 - 0.75
60' 1.88 - 1.99 (Boo, got excitied and spun)
1/8 8.08@89.09 - 8.16@90.40
1/4 12.35@117.17 - 12.46 @ 114.17

vs. A Subaru WRX STI (mods unknown)

Hero - Villian
RT 0.55 - 0.81
60' 1.95 - 1.93
1/8 8.17@89.76 - 8.56@82.09
1/4 12.45@116.86 - 13.41@100.88

Could have taken him NA.

Last race was against a 1970 Gran Torino
Hero - Villian
RT 0.82 - 0.49
60' 1.78 - 2.17
1/8 7.87@89.48 - 8.54@85.86
1/4 12.14@117.49 - 13.11@107.63

Finally, my first run was against a Buick Skylark (year ??) which was extremely loud with one hell of an idle.

Hero - Villian
RT 1.64 - 0.4629
60' 1.74 - 1.72
1/8 7.88@89.14 - 7.70@91.06
1/4 12.16@117.22 - 12.04@112.49

Good runs! Look forward to hearing about your first 11 second time slip.

Is that correct? I feel like you should have ET'd better than 12.07 with the 118.7 mph trap and that 60'. What tires are you running?

You sure are picking up a lot of speed on the back end!, it does seem like you should be running better times tho. What RPM are you shifting at?

It is correct. ET street radials, 275/40/17

I don't have the torque of other whippled cars. only 400 wtq, my 1/8 mile times seem slower as a result, but it does pull ridiculous up top. Shifting at 6500 rpm, not powershifting.

BTW I am not running the 10-11psi pulley (3.375) the kit came with, I've got a 3.625 pulley right now.

I'm confident I'll shave a few tenths of a second off with more practice. This was the first time at the track in over a year and the first time with the whipple.
