Last night a bunch of buddies and I went on a practically abanded highway to see what ours cars could do against each other.

My car has the stock motor with a O/R H pipe, headers, flows, 3.73s, sub frame connectors, a shifter out of a turbo coupe, and 245/45R17s Kuhmo 711s on Cobra Rs.

My friend a=has an 83 GT with a 302 .030" over, headers, O/R H-pipe, 3.2?s, 6AL, hurst shifter and 245/?/14s

We had a sweet race. I thought the age on my motor (144K) would have done a lot worse with his fresher 302. I got a sweet launch but it was pretty much neck and neck until 4th when I slowly pulled...surprised the hell out of him to since afterwards he pulled his speakers and got a lighter co-pilot...same results the second time yet he missed 3rd...can't wait to get to a real track later this summer, and get some times. The old gal still has it in her I spose.

 

ya i'm the guy with the 83 gt ho and we will see soon i'm going to even it up a little 3.73's in the mail.

Lingenfelter CAI, Pacesetter longtubes followed by a hooker exhaust no cat, 3.73's, and a computer tune by pcmforless. Also a bunch of suspension stuff matched with some bigass 315's.

 

auto or 6 spd? if auto how do u like the gears? how much of diff?

well suds when you get a fresh motor i will hopefully have the 347 out of hougs old motor put together so then it will be the same thing all over

oooooo and my gears are hear today so it will be even up now!!!!!111
