got into a nice little battle tonite. caught up with a clean, red, 1995 GT, we paced for a little bit, i punched it then let off he didnt bite. finally he gassed it and i had to play catch up..from about 45 to 100 he kept about a car on me without pulling. his car sounded reaaal nice at WOT. around 85 we came around a slight bend and both braked bc we saw a red light but it was for a turning lane so we got back on it again. i wasnt able to catch, and he still held me at bay with a car's length. my first race since having me entire intake manifold replaced (still non-PI). i caught up with him at a red light and we both had smiles on our faces and told each other it was a good run. he had 96-98 GT rims which threw me off. he was a real cool kid, about my age, 19-20 or so. he said it was a 95, i asked him what mods he said pullies, cold air, throttle body, H-pipe, removed smog pump, and it was a 5-speed. it sounded mean with that H-pipe and i was surprised when he said the cat-back was factory. he asked me if my bird was a 5.0 and i told him it was a 4.6, and said so its prob a 96 which he was right. then told him my mods, automatic, 4000lb sled, etc. we both gave thumbs up and went our ways. it was an overall fun battle, first good battle i've had in a while, always enjoy runnin' stangs.
