I embarassed this guy !!!!!
One day, Mr. Ford was sitting in the crapper, well taking a $hit... just after beating his wife and chasing some of "them negros" down with a fork. One of Mr. Ford's employees comes knocking on the door. He tells him that he is designing a car and needs some more parts. Out from the crapper comes a response "Is it ok if it's brown?!"... "sure, Mr.Ford, we can repaint it". Mr. Forded reached into his toilet and pulled out a long, squooshy, droopy turd. He said, this will be the car's engine. The employee, said "shall we name this the turdstang?... I mean Mustang?"
"Yes"
Since then, the Turdstang.. I mean Mustang, has been considered a really really fast sports turd... I mean car.

Incredible. Nobody from the Audi front bothered to address all of the problems I listed with the VAG cars.
And for the record, my 5.0 handles better than my VW did. It handles right on par with my 01 Impreza 2.5rs did after I put the larger swaybars, group n strut mounts, strut tower brace, springs, and 40mm struts on. I've ridden in and driven A4's, and they're not all that in stock trim. My Subaru was far superior in the handling department because it wasn't nearly so bloated. Stock Audis are tuned suspension-wise to appease 30-something women trying to put makeup on while driving on the freeway.
There are 2 situations where an audi would put my 5.0 to shame. 1) in a parking lot - the turning radius is scary but at speed it does quite well, and 2) in adverse traction conditions. Off road or wet roads aren't friendly to the 5.0. Otherwise it'll hold its own.
These kids came here to troll, so any logical point made is going to be glossed right over. There's no point getting excited about them, they're insecure and want to stir up trouble. I'd recommend ignoring them and they'll go away.

Nice kill on the V6 Stang, but like has been stated, they really aren't very fast, but those 1.8T's are pretty quick. My brothers girlfriend has a Jetta with the 1.8T in it, and the car is really nice, but has been in and out of the shop for numerous problems. My 5.0 corners quite well, and the in-line performance is not comparable between the two, and if it came to long distances, freeway racing, etc. my 5.0 could take it without a sniffle.
All of this redneck talk and immature crap is just hilarious. I guess to drive something that has a little rumble under the hood is 'hickish'? Although I bet when you see a nicely done-up mustang rumble by, you give a double take, and don't lie. But when we see a silver Jetta drive by, what do we think? Oh look there goes my mom in her 4 door grocery getter, which is what 80+% of the owners of those cars use them for, whereas about the same percentage of the 5.0's are heavily modified, whether it be for straight line performance, or road racing. I am only 17, and I own a 91 GT 5.0 that will run 12's in the quarter mile, and I can still drive the car anywhere I want to go, and can work on it myself in my own garage, as it is the 3rd Mustang that I have built. If that is not all that anyone could ask for....simplicity.....then I don't really understand the argument. Sure the Audi, and VW's are nice sturdy cars built to handle on the Audobahn at excess of 100+ MPH. But then again, that's what they are made for, and the Mustang is an american classic that has been around since the early 60's, and has more than proven itself to the world time and time again. Only one German car has done that, and it doesn't handle or perform anything like a mustang.. Yep the good ol' VW Bug...

That's fine. We all know mustangs suck for handling. But, when's that last time you really raced someone in a windy road??? Have you ever gone to a track? I doubt it. Think about every race you've every been in. I bet it's been in a straight line. And I also bet you're gonna SAY you race on windy roads all the time, since no one can verify it.

Why do you guys keep comparing your cars that were made for turns to cars that were made for power. You don't see mustangs in a rally race often, and you don't see audi's/bmw's in a high end drag race. The mustangs/ls1's will rape your cars in a drag plain and simple. You would have absolutely no chance to keep up with a built mustang/ls1 unless large amounts of cash are used. Of course you can make your car hang with them with enough money thrown at it. Hell, i've seen a damn geo metro run 10's, but honestly a mustang/ls1 are some of the best built cars for 1/4 mile times. That is what we like to do, just like you like to rally. To each his own, no need to just go bashing people's cars and the things they enjoy doing.
My brother has a built to hell ls1, and could rape damn near anything around town that he pulls up to. He could smoke a ferrari with ease, but that doesn't mean ****. A ferrari wasn't built for a quarter mile and a mustang wasn't built for a rally (though they can actually make decent rally cars). My point is, who gives a flying **** what you could do with your car to a V6 that wasn't made for power nor twisties.
Good job you beat a stock V6. He had absolutely no chip or anything else I'm sure and is heavy as well. If that gets you off then so be it. It is not in the least bit impressive.
p.s. I really only read 3 or 4 pages of this stuff before posting so much of this has probably already been said.

your right, its a muscle car
a sports car is more like a vett you dumbass
either way they will both kick ur little 4 bangers *** anywhere so stfu
oh and dont brag about beating a v6 that would be like a v8 braging about beating u
That's fu@##$$ed up. That you have to put 500hp on a car to run 11.93. That's just sorry dude. Our old unreliaBLE GT'S would run mid 11's with only 400 hp. If you r going to argue about time and HP talk about some real numbers BC a 500 hp car runing 11.93's doesn't impress me.
Mustangs arent sports cars or muscle cars, There a pony car and one of the few ones left. Im pretty sure those three dudes were all maybe 15 yr old idiots that got there parents cars for there birthday. O and good job to them for making themselves look like complete ****ing morons, I pretty sure they are gonna go to collage for a degree in moronism.
I wish I got to this thread sooner. I could have told them about the time I smoked an S4. I started behind him and was still able to put a bunch of car lengths on it. Granted it was in a staright line, but they challanged me so obviously they wanted a straight line run.
Those guys were just looking to stir up some sh*t and you guys bit. Come on. He was bragging about beating a V6 vert (no offense V6 guys). Please.

Thanks for posting that I was just about to say the same thing. People have screwed up the term "Muscle car" so much now they just assume anything with a V8 is a muscle car. Mustangs are not one.
