I 'barely' pulled on an SRT8 with my lid/fra mods on (80 to 120, had maybe 1 length) and was dead even with the same car stock (70 to 120mph, nose to nose). (this was a 300c stock)

Keeping in mind I trapped 108.59 stock and my best trap with the lid/fra combo was 109.33mph (bad run off a 2.47 60ft, I expect a better trap this spring). I just don't see a stock Mach 1 pulling that off, maybe one of you mach 1 guys can set me straight if I'm wrong here.
Should be similar results with a minor bolt on mach, I dont think a bone stock mach would win, from a 40 or 60 that is.

They are close stock. With bolt-ons, or gears, or both, the Mach should pull away. Its all driver dependent really. In this vid, the Mach has pulleys (good for about 5-8 hp), so without them the SRT may have inched out a little more, idk. 5-8 hp may not even effect it.

Good race OP!

LOL @ Kerns.

Dude, not to bust your *****, but, please stop bench racing.

What are your track times? Hmm? I ran a 12.4 @ 117 with a 2.01 60ft, on a super hot day, heat soaked, and a bad clutch, with hardly any driving experience in my "heavy" 462 RWHP Cobra. Also, I'd say your car is closer to just under 3300lbs from the factory, so, closer to 3400 give or take.

How many pullied Cobra's have you beaten? I bet you make around 400 RWHP, right? So, these days a couple hundred lbs makes up for nearly 100 HP? Are you cereal?

Have you broken low 12's, or 11's yet? Have you even run your car? Not to come off like a dick, but, I am getting sick of people think just because they weigh a bit less, they can beat a certain car, etc.

Do you know why Terminators don't need a lot of power to go fast? Powerband! Getting all 460+ RWTQ @ 2500 RPM.

Either way dude, you are underestimating a car because of the gay power:weight thing.

Weight doesn't mean ****, against a car that traps higher than you from a dead stop. That really shows what a 3750-3800lbs car, with driver, will do.

Anyhow, no need for a bitch ffest. You are obviously well knowledge with calculating power:weight and determining the outcome of a race without a race. Even if you beat one, doesn't mean you will beat all 450 RWHP (insert car here). Every driver is different, and every car is tuned/setup differently.

Cool vid but the only problem I see with that is that the Challenger i ran was stick shift (I believe their option is a 6spd tranny) which is quite different than the sluggish autos that came on earlier SRT cars.

I wouldn't call their autos sluggish..afaik the newer 6 speed cars are not on par with the autos. At least not in the 1/4... I will have to dig around but as a few months back the autos were spanking the manuals.

I agree. The auto's in the Challengers are pretty decent.

While the mauals put more power down, they won't be as fast as the auto, unless you have an amazing driver.

Ya know.

That Mach in the video needs some stickier tires. You can hear those screech perfectly. Nice to see how close it was though.
