Cruising around a bit tonight and ended up in an intersection where a clean looking 82' firebird was stopped at. We gave each exchanged a few revs, then we where off. I launched nice and slow in first just keeping up, put it into second and proceeded to put about around 4-5 lengths on him up to about 80mph.

Ive beat 5.0 chevs before and I know its not much to be proud of, but a kill is a kill non the less. Talked to the guy a bit he just got it repainted and was all stock and a standard. Nice guy we exchanged complements and where on our way.

 

Nice kill 300! Sounds like you put it on him pretty bad. Nice looking Fox, btw. I'd love to get my hands on a nice clean Fox one of these days.

I had a similar experince with my buddy's 5.0 4V T/A. You can walk those F-Bodies with ease.

 

yea the 305's are pretty damn weak.

Back in the day I used to own a 5.7 ltr. Iroc. I got beat so many times on front street in philly by 5.0s that i finally gave up and traded the chevy in on a stang.

 

i used to have a 5.7 chevy in my old C10, now THAT was a sleeper if I ever saw one and I loved every minute of it. I'd have cars try to pull on me alllll the time... I'll admit, I got it handed to me a couple times, but I loved the look on their face when that truck launched and i pulled 5 links on em!

Thanks for the compliments guys, should have gotten a notch though. I just need to get rid of these dronemasters they are driving me nuts. I thought the IROC's would have kept up with a 5.0 but I am sure they do a lot better.

good kill 305s are weak thats why chevy had to one up us and through the 350 in the camaros after that
