2200rpm, slip clutch out very slow as you start to roll while slowly giving it gas... once moving and the clutch comes out just go WOT.

My technique isnt the best (I've yet to even come close to a 1.x 60ft) but it works for me every time. I would rather do it this way and have an ok 60ft than get aggressive and blow the tires off and/or break the rear end.

112K on original clutch
2.09 best 60ft

You can hear the method at work if you listen carefully.....

For street tires, your technique sounds pretty good to me. It's hard to give advice on how much to rev considering you guys make less power at your altitude, but you are also on 4.10 gears (may cancel each other out). I think the biggest thing if you are not bogging out the hole, it to see how much you can vary your speed of feeding throttle.

When I'm on the ET Streets (bias ply), I rev to about 3-35k and drop the clutch and smash the go pedal. Not sure if I could use the same method on a DR with the manual transmission. Hooking hard (and not bogging) is one hell of a rush, I could only imagine someone pulling 1.3-1.4s and how that must feel.

I'm guessing a 1.3-1.4 60' must pin you back into your seat pretty damn good. Probably is a helluva rush.

I appreciate the info here. I've thought about trying some higher rpm launches but I think it's even more likely to blow the tires off if I do that. Even 3500rpm is getting to the point where I tend to catch a lot of spin. I think I may be slipping the clutch out a bit faster than I should. It's usually out completely within about one second. But holding it in longer is pretty counter intuitive to me. On the bright side I don't usually bog. I would rather spin than bog. lol

We're heading out there this Saturday so I'll have an opportunity to play around. I might try some higher rev launches just to see what happens. It might be ugly and I'll have to short shift out of it but you know how that goes. Practice makes perfect - or at least closer to perfect anyway.

Oh Robert, quit worrying about the 10 bolt and let her rip. Afterall, I'm going to with the new setup on the T/A. And, if you break one, I've got two cars with 10 bolts, and they're both begging for a 9" sometime later this year. So, I could sell ya one. lol

I rev to about 3,000 RPM, then panic when I see the last yellow light and mash the gas and get off the clutch. Cuts 2.3's most the time. One time I cut a very high 2.2.

Big thing is to not getting overly excited when on street tires. I've pulled 1.9s on my 275/40/18 Nitto 555s with the blower on. Trust me, that takes a hell of a lot of patience getting into the throttle, I can't even go full throttle in 2nd gear.

2.0 is my best so far. This was without TC enabled and was on bigass 295/45/18 summer tires.

I would think so... 60ft is more of a measure of traction from my understanding. I don't think elevation plays a role. I do however, think 4.10 gears make it easier to get a lower 60ft.

I've wanted to try that technique with the parking break. However, with the 4.10's and my power level first gear is so short. I don't know if i could get my hand over to the shifter and into position to shift fast enough.
