well as you can tell by my name i dont drive a mustang but i am a true fan so im not hear to diss the car.....im hear to tell a story....ive seen the gt models around here and there but never really had a chance to race one. well i was out the other day and i hear what sounds like flows next to me, sure enough i look over and there is a brand new 05 gt sitting there. (beautiful red) well he revs up. i asked him what he had done and he said exhaust and intake. me i dynoed the last month at 302 whp and 344 tq. so i figure this we'll be a good one. so we line up and the light turns green. no offense but i smoked him off the line and through 2nd. he started pulling hard in 3rd but i hit 4th and had 4 cars. i must say that you guys do know how to pick the cars these are some beautiful cars and sound just as good as they look. until next tim, PEACE

 

what all do you have done to your car to have over 300HP to the wheels...i know it isnt that hard to accomplish in the srt-4 but i am just curious. there is a guy here in houston claiming to have 450HP to the wheels and i really have no idea what all he has

by the way, very decent of you to give props to the GT and the race considering he only had exhaust and intake...basically only intake as far as performance since the exhaust adds nothing.

 

I suppose you need to do a little more for engine longevity and reliability, but it's very easy to get 300rwhp on a srt4. Just swap out the turbo for a larger one and increase boost. It already has all the necessaries from the factory stock.

SRT4Banger, I'm surprised that you took him off the line seeing how you're front wheel drive. BTW, did he have an ECU tune or was he running the stock computer program? The stock tune sucks. The car runs so rich after 5K rpm that you would walk all over him.

he didnt say he had whether or not he had ecu upgrade but this guy couldnt launch for nothing. he sat there and spun first and second. ive just figured my car out and know how to get it going, but he was still a preaty good driver, have to give him credit where credit is do. but as for my 300 hp i have stage 2 w/ toys (i.e. intercooler sprayer, high octane mode) bdj's side exhaust (no cat), speerco big front mount, map clamp, apg wastegate, k&n cai, aaron's return fuel line kit, water injection, greddy's e-manage, stage 3 fuel injectors, and i still need to get the car tuned, ive been running alittle rich lately

 

thanks for not walking all over me and dissing my car or anything, like i said im not here to diss the gt i love them as a matter of fact. i hate when people go to srtforums.com and start ****. i was simply coming on here and letting you guys know about the race and just get maybe some new info on gt's. i would like to go for a ride in one someday. they seem like badass cars. and they look good as hell too

yeah im still running stock stock turbo those things can handle a sh*t load. they good up to 25 psi i think i heard but like i said i have the stage 2 upgrade which is ecu, injectors wga. but really the only thing stage 2 is the ecu cause i upgraded to stage 3 injectors and the apg wga. its hold better boost
