Last night on my way home from work, I was just enjoying the nice weather and the relaxing drive. I stopped at a light next to a mid 90s ford escort, the driver looked over and complimented me on the car, I said thanks. Normally I would have returned the compliment, but his car was crappy, rusty escort.

Anyway, he wanted to race. I said no thanks, (come on, its an escort, no fun!) He kept talking smack, then I noticed he had a 5.0 badge on the fender. Obviosly not stock. But he said, come lets give it a go. So I said ok, thinking he had a pumped up escort with something under the hood.

Light turned green, he did try. It was like racing a trek bike against a muscle car. At the next light, he laughed and said I knew I could get you to race. As I looked around, other drivers were looking at me like "why are you bothering POS cars."

He put on the badge, just to screw with people. I felt a little embarrased, it was a win, but I don't count that.

I usually do, but there was a loud truck right behind him. Afterward I laughed about the 5.0 badge on an escort.

 

I'm going to go for the sleeper look.

Tear off one of my tail pipes, and put "2.3" badge's on the side of the car.

(hopefully they dont hear the cam, and notice the giant drag radials sticking out from the fenders)

 

Get some electronic cutouts after the headers, and a super quiet exhaust out back lol

Bait them into the race and then open the cutouts lol

I've thought about it though. (not the 2.3l badge thing) find some truck mufflers or something. But not for this motor. the car is quick now, but It would need to be something a lot better to try that hard to be a sleeper.

I love the "it's just a convertible" line.

Lol thats funny, the other day I saw an escort all badged up with the Cobra snake emblems lmao, was rusted out and obviously had stock everything other than the emblems

 

dude i came up on a kia spectra the other day with a huge ricer wing on it, and tons of graphics all over it. the guy didn't even have a fart can on it. I laughed my *** off when i saw he had removed the spectra from the rear deck lid and put letters reading "beast" on it. ROFLMAO i pulled up beside the dude and he glanced over and then sort of lowered his head and stared forward. I'd be embarassed too to pull some shat like that with a damn spectra. My BIL has one, damn thing goes 0-60 in like a day and a half, floor it and it just makes more noise.
