Talking Fast SRT-4 run

holy smokes.. ran a skittle today at the track and he ended up running an 11.4@125! to my crappy 13.1/heat soaked and ready to go home. I think it was the fastest running "street car" I have seen, though there was an 11.0@116 Chevelle today, and a 11.6@124 built/blown 427r last week.

Best run today was a 12.8@105mph against a noob in a awd Eclipse GSX, kid looked so nervous I swear he was gonna launch in reverse lulz. Over all, it was a fun day

Same story, different day. 4.10s, auto, 380whp, street tires= no traction off the line, fighting all the way through the 8th, and too late up top. no intercooler, heat-soaking down the track lulz

Gonna get some tires and shoot for low 12s finally! so tempted to run a 50-75 shot and try to crack into the 11s.. though I doubt it ("insufficient funds" lol)

oh yeah, it definitely was! Damn camera is messed up and lens will not retract fully, or I would had some awesome pics/movies. That was one serious skittle... I never seen him before, but I knew he was trouble when he was staging and his front slicks looked like it had no air in it and just sliding on the rubber lol

He was half way down the track before I even caught traction.

Tranny broke?? infamous 3rd gear synchro?? I had that issue with my 05 stage 2 skittle...

Yea I hit the 2-3 shift and the damn thing just exploded. Took the input shaft with it. But it's all good the stock transmission was dieing so I went with a performance autowerks tranny good for 600/600. When you getting some tires and an intercooler for that thing?

damn, same with mine.. unfortunately, it took them 3 tries to get it right. Finally, they did it free of charge and I didn't spend a dime That new tranny sounds like it'll handle anything you can throw at it lol

hmm.. not sure about the intercooler just yet. I want to sell it for a Roush M90 or R2300 next year. Tires/rims, I should get a few weeks here

Sucks running 13s when I know I can run some low 12s, if not 12.0 with some ET drags.

These 4.10s are amazing (at eating the stock rubber)

you could always get a meth kit to help the cooling, less then an intercooler.

Buddy of mine did that with his skittle a few years ago when we were at the track..

barely got off the first turn off and just parked in the grass...

I do believe he was performing a 'mad 2-3 shift' as well lol

This, you will also be able to run a more aggressive tune and bump up the timing.
