heys guys! i had a couple of run in's tonight. from a 35mph roll i raced a 03 gt to about 80mph the whole time he was about 1.5 cars ahead. 2nd was an srt-4 from a dead stop to about 60mph at the end he was about a 1/2 a car ahead of me. any opinions on how i made out would be appreciated. my mods are in my sig. thanks!!!!

Id say you did pretty good if the SRT4 only beat you by that much considering you have a 98 4.6 auto, those mods must have done quite a bit.

 

just get some 4.10s and you'll beat both of them to 80mph.

not bad at all.. those srt-4s are nice quick little cars for what they are.. they are like a mid 14 second car, but they dont really get moving until they reach the higher gears.. id say your prob high 14s to a low 15.. not bad at all for a 4.6 with little mods.. if you drive this car alot just for cruisin around though i wouldnt go with 4.10s, those are for mostly drag and youll be at like 4500 rpm at 60 mph, its just too much for a non-race car, go with sumthin like 3.55 or 3.73s... idk what comes with that car stock but gears is like a night/day difference on how your car performs

 

You did pretty good considering you started out with possibly the slowest GT of the last 2 deades!

4.10s would definitely make you atleast even with that SRT-4.

 

these are all myths,, there is nothing wrong with 4.10's unless you are on the highway alot, and even then, only if you are a fast driver

sounds like you did alright to me,,granted you lost to both of them, the race with the srt 4 must have been fun (and if the 03 GT beat you by that much moer, it proaby wasnt stock, cause a stock 99-04 GT and srts are VERY close in the quarter, assuming equal drivers)
