Those electric cutouts aren't too expensive, either. A few hundred bucks at the most.

For installation, the mid pipe would need to have two sections of it cut to allow the cutouts to be installed, correct?

check with your track, some have restrictions as to when open headers can be run if at all.

Correct, they weld into place. QTP seem to be the most reliable electric cutouts. I have heard of people having leak issues, etc with others.

I have always read about the motors failing in the electric cutouts. Regular cutouts are only $30'ish a piece, iirc. If your car is really low it makes it harder to get the cutout open.

Save yourself the hassle,, we all know you can't break 13.5's.... :-)

Unless, you went 13.4,, then we all know you can't break the 13.4's

I got the summit racing weld in 3 inch cut outs, they sound bad ***

PS.. it snowed like that til about mid April lulz

Not sure if they really open up any real hp, but I am able to power brake it to 2500rpm with them open, as opposed to only 2000rpm with them closed.

They'll also break the tires loose alot easier when open.
