Merdedes SLK 350 Roadster vs 2011 GT
Yeah, it sounds ridiculous right?! Well, on the way home, I was at a red light in a 65 mph zone next to an SLK 350 roadster. I didn't even pull even with the guy because I figured I'd need to give myself a handicap to even have any fun with him at all. So the light turns green, and we both take off, I even slip sideways in first a tiny bit (I'm full throttle), then I shift into second, then third, and to my amazement (horror!) I can't even pull a foot on this guy...he stays exactly a half a car length ahead of me. By 70 mph I back off because it's obvious I'm not going to get ahead of him and I don't want to bust the speed limit.
So, I'm thinking WTF?! I looked up the specs on a 2010 350 and it's 300 hp, about 250 torque. I hope to God they make a fancy turbo kit for this car and I just didn't get beat by a stock 300 hp Mercedes. He did have aftermarket wheels, but the car "looked" stock.
I have a stock 6 sp manual 5.0.

Haha, it happens. Wikipedia lists two seperate AMG model SLK cars that sound pretty stout, maybe it was one of those...
Minimize tire spin for maximum results! lol

A lot of times it's hard to tell the difference between a "regular" Merc and an AMG other than the AMG marker in the back. The only thing I ever look for now whenever I pass by a Merc is the //AMG\\ on the rear deck lid (or is it //AMG....or \\AMG//....or whatever). I don't care about what it says on the left anymore.
It's AMG or bust lol.
