Default slaughter kill

i was cruising down the highway tonight (coming back from my little sister's band performance), when a 2009 Jetta decided he wanted to play. i figured it would be stupid easy, looked bone stock, sounded bone stock (aka couldn't hear it over the sound of my exhaust).

so we honk it off from a 30mph roll, on the 3rd honk i get the jump and start pulling a little bit. i look behind me and all i see is the nose of the Jetta, and a cloud of soot coming out the back. my mind went "awe sh*t" right at the same time as his turbo spooled and that little 2.0L TDI went screaming past me like i was standing still. between 45mph and 125mph when i let off, he put about 12 BUSES on me...

as luck would have it, we got off at the same intersection and followed each other into a gas station. i got to talking to him, and his little monster is just that, a monster. 392fwhp, 791fwtq on 32psi from a Garret T4 turbo... and the damn thing still gets 41mpg on the highway

Was it a built motor? Even if it was I have a hard time believing those numbers especially the torque figure. Even in an evo or sti motor that would be an accomplishment. Those little tdi motors really aren't built for that kind of power...btw...what mustang do u have?

I'm thinking the Torque number was a typo. Usally a turbo car has about as much torque as HP.

I had that turbo on my mazdaspeed3 and it maxes out at 19 psi. Its not.physically capable of making that much boost or horsepower/torque. Tdi owner was pure bs.

uh to everyone calling BS on the torque numbers, it's a TDI JETTA, meaning it had a DIESEL engine. not a gasser.

btw, no Mustang here. just a 1993 Camaro Z28

its a diesel 4 banger I think. explains it a bit.

even being a torque monster, I still couldn't drive a VW jetta

Not so much calling bull as saying you may have got some misinformation from the other driver. I know guys that hot rod up their deisel 4X4s and they claim 600HP and 800trq. but they also have 3 times the displacement of a 2.0. And I doubt that the drive train could servive that kinda torque.

The 2011 Super Duty makes 400hp and 800 ft-lbs out of a 6.7 liter. Not disagreeing with you, but diesels can have a smaller hp:tq ratio than what you said
