I love you Dave.

Stock Motor, Stock Trans and the Stock Supercharger.
Here is bottom 9's with a built motor and a KB

I hear the Stock transmission is very durable, and the rear is uber strong too.
It's the engine being the way it is, with such high compression.

I know the stock manual on the 05-10 car seems to put up with a lot before it goes. The automatic not so much. Hard downshifts in third gear kill it.
I have to wonder with a chinese transmission how long the '11 automatic is going to hold up to 500+whp.

I have heard of more problems with the 3650 over the 5R5SS.

It's a bigger problem when you're already moving and it downshifts into third from a higher gear. Or so I've read. Was enough that when a friend of mine took me for a drive in his car he didn't want to step on it in that situation for fear of the transmission letting go on him. Brenspeed told him it would be a problem as well.
YMMV. The same guy has a new car, 600whp, and his stock 3650 has stood up to several passes down the track on slicks launching hard.

The 5R5SS and the 3650 are about the same as far as strength. You don't have to worry about shifting an auto poorly, and destroying a synchro, i.e missing gears, grinding, etc.
There are about 50 posts on modularfords, with guys having issues with the 05+ 3650 breaking with just bolt-ons, making maybe 300 RWHP.
