Had a few hour trip this morning, cut threw Mexico. I ran into a Mustang, that kept picking on me. Well it was an 08 body style GT500..rare to see one, esp 3am in Mexico. Kept revving at me and letting me hear the blower, etc. Not one to mess around on the skreet, though I couldn't resist, not a soul insight... Anyways went from a ricer 40. I'm expecting to get it in the rear. Well I'm brake boosting and on the 3rd honk I spin too much and he instantly pulls about 1/2 car on me...by the end of 2nd were almost even...well into 4th I let off about 2.5-3 lengths ahead. Slow down and he gets beside me and turns on his interior light and gives me the finger...then laughs and threw a thumbs up.

Obviously I have no idea on mods, etc. If I had to guess I would say blower swap, 150 shot... ;$ ....lol probably intake, catback.

 

I'm not sure he would need all those mods to stay behind you 2-3 lengths. Sounds to me like maybe a pulley/tune/bolt-on GT500. I'm honestly just taking a shot in the dark on his mods. I've seen GT500s with all sorts of mods and different power levels achieve totally different numbers. Good run PD. Your car is nasty.

I was joking about the swap.

All I can compare is my 1/8th traps. Fastest trap on dragtimes for the cobra stock is 90mph, last track visit I trapped 94.8mph, in the 1/8th. That would have to be one hell of a Fobra, haha.

Idk I've seen a torque monsta with intake, GT duals and weight reduction edge one out before.
