Last night I was cruising to a party going down the back way to the freeway. I looked over and there was a red eclipse 99-04 about to pull out of a parking lot. I didnt think much of it but a little bit later i hear an engine screaming up behind me. Its the eclipse one of the v6 ones and he is dead even with me. look over and he nods to say he wants to go. we both punch it from about 40 and I actually pulled on him in my v6 auto vert, unfortunately he was catching up but we had to stop for a light. At the light we talked for a second I told him it was a six with cai and dual exhaust he had cai and a 150 shot(lucky for me it was empty) he was also manual and hard top We took off from the light an I had him by a few lenths but again around 90 before we shut down to go opposite ways on the freeway he had caught up and were even. not a kill but a good race.

Short version: Raced a 99-o4 eclipse gt hard top and manual(with a cai) in my 00 v6 auto vert(cai and dual exhaust). pulled him from a roll and a stop but he caught up and we stayed even at about 90 before shutting down.

Yeah... you did get lucky. But a 150 shot??? He had to have internal work done to it, either that or he had just a 50 shot. I highly doubt those 6s are forged.

i used to have an eclipse. they went from 95-99 then 2000-2005 and the only v6's were the 00-05. anyway they have about 205hp stock and are a little lighter than the v6 mustangs.
