Default Short run vs. carrera4

So took the Shelby out for a drive as I had not been behind the wheel in near three weeks. On the way home a Carrera passes me slowly as I'm cruising along on a two lane exit ramp. So I slowly pull back along side him and pass him back. As we exit the road way.it's a long sweeping right t urn on to a straight length of road. I see his nose rise some as he's gonna try his luck to get around me. So third gear around 40 and I hammer the ol' girl pedal down to about 3/4 throttle and his nose goes from a foot ahead of me to a few feet behind my bumper by 70 or so I'm a good 2cars out so I let out.

As he pulled back along side a moment later he smiled and gave me a wave and we went on our way.

I was hoping to find some better competition on my travels but oh well at least I had a bit of fun.

Haha, with that Shelby I think it will be tough to find some good competition. Any run is always fun.

I have a friend I see now and again cruising around with a blue 996 turbo with aftermarket turbos with all the supporting mods pushing 650AWHP.... THAT would be a good race for you from a stop

a stock carrera? or even stock 997 turbo?

lolz, why waste the gas?

Good run, Stk. Nothing wrong with that run, imo. Sounds like you just needed to relieve a little (haven't punched it in a while) stress. Ready to see some track vids of that beast.

/\ yea pretty much. Had not driven the car in 3 weeks and now with the blizzard that just came thru, it'll be some time before she's out again.
