Well i was thinking i would quickly learn how to shift and go race, but im having smog problems, etc. also, the more i thought about it the more i figured i should upgrade it and put on stronger parts. what type of parts would help with racing? it is a 1/8 mile track. the car right now has bbk shortys, flowmaster exhause (h-pipe i think) racing tires, fms springs (lowered), strut tower brace, 3.73 gears, and a short shifter. that is what the car with and im wondering what else would be good or how to drive it so it doesnt break. thanks. edit: oh yea, and eaton positive traction.

If your going to start racing....do something with the trans...put in a higher quality one...ie. tremec, world class,TKO... if you start racing the trans wont hold up for long. it will go out sooner or later.
