I knew my N/A S197 GT was definitely no match for a 600 hp Viper. But this was my 1st encounter with one, and I wanted to see it get up and go. It did not disappoint. It pulled away like I was standing still.

If I ever hit the lottery. The very first car on my list is an 10 Viper ACR.

They launch like a real beast too, those huge tires out back and good suspension.

Thanks for the kudos, everyone.
It reminded me of when I ran a 427 Shelby AC Cobra kit car a few years ago. I knew I was no match for it, but how many chances will I get to run against a car like that(or a Viper).

Ha, that reminds me, I raced on once in the 90s. I had a red '95 Ford Ranger, 5 speed manual, 4 cylinder. Not a hotrod, but great for hauling my dirtbike. I was driving in Centerville, and a Viper pulls out of this stripjoint, Diamonds. I get lined up next to him at a redlight. I starting revving my engine to let him know I wanted to race. When the light turned green, he pulled away so fast it was like he was on a crotch rocket. So yeah, I too just wanted to see one in action, even faster than I thought. I would still love to have one, just not as a daily driver though.
