Default 98 V6 Eighth Mile

first time in over a year and first time since i put the p1sc on. track prep wasn't that great.. but it was still fun! i was running on my street tires, nothing special done to the car to get it ready. 30psi tires, spare in trunk, etc..

ran 5 times, with 10 minutes or less between runs. there was NO-ONE there.. pretty sweet but i'm sure the car was heat soaked.

here are the 5 runs:
60': 2.10
et: 9.004
mph: 82.80

60': 2.23
et: 9.245
mph: 81.66

60': 2.15
et: 8.993
mph: 83.18

60': 2.10
et: 8.965
mph: 83.45

60': 2.21
et: 9.018
mph: 85.011

car felt good but im sure the 80 degree weather and hotlapping wasnt helping. not sure if i'm pretty spot on with what i should be running (given the street tires and 60' times)

That's a quick 3.8L ! Good list of mods too. Decent 60' for street tires. Get some DRs on there and under 2 seconds, and you'll have some very respectable times.

Ditto to what everyone else said. The mph shows whats left in it.... just work on that 60 and you got some great times on your hands. Bad lil 3.8 you got there

That is a great running car man!!!! Im very impressed and I want it too haha.

Good time considering it's on street tires, I know when I was trapping close to the same as you I was cutting low 1.8 60' and running 8.2's.....

I say next time get a set of tires slicks or dr's let the car get a nice cool down and maybe even ice the intake launch hard and sharpen up your shifts (dont let the stock t5 hold you back) and you will pull off some killer times and might pick up a little mph too!!!!

Wow, that's a quick little 3.8L. Work on that launch and you'll have some great times going.

Thanks everyone. She is fun! It's been a long road coming to get to this point though haha. High 16 second 1/4 mile car to begin with..

I can't wait to get some DRs or slicks and see what it'll do. I know the shifts are mighty slow, I don't want to grenade the trans just yet. Hopefully before the end of the season I'll have gotten back out there with the right stuff and run a low 8!

Nice runs! What else do you have done to the car? Split port swap?
