About what you would expect with them being a couple of 600 pounders.

His is factory stock and is better than a second faster than my 13.95 at US131. Kudos to what your can can do.
You also have to keep in mind his gearing is slightly better than yours and he isn't in a convertible. You being in a convertible + being an auto is probably 200-250lbs more in your car. That and the other car having 2 big dudes in it would definitely have changed the way the race looks.

Lotta little factors to look at when analyzing this race.... Not unbelievable tho....

I can't wait to see the times your mods get you..... I drove my stepmom's car ('11 v6) not long after I got mine, and it pulls a WHOLE lot harder then mine does, and this is just with cai/tune/ab. Add in the gears and I bet you're in a bottom-13sec car. With a sticky tire and 1.7-1.8 60's, I dare say it may scrape 12's (glory pass)

This. Quite a few small factors should add up to give Bokeo's car a decent advantage over yours.

  • Less weight (convertible vs coupe)
  • Less weight (auto vs manual)
  • Less drivetrain loss (auto vs. manual)
  • Slightly more aggressive gearing (3.55's vs 3.73's)
  • CAI (maybe 10rwhp)

I have no doubt at all Bokeo`s car is in fact faster than mine, many are. However my point was my friends 300c SRT is a little more than 1 full second faster than mine and is completely factory stock. If his is representitive of SRT8`s then the one Bokeo raced wasn`t. Just sayin`.

The 300C SRT-8 is a low to mid 13 second car at 106-108mph stock. 11 V6 is a high 13 second car at 102-104mph. Extra weight of the SRT + bolt ons with the V6 seems totally reasonable. Its about a 1/2 second faster stock for stock. Not a full second.

In my opinion, you've run a pretty solid time with your car. With that said, I think your car has at least another 1/2 second in it with better driving and a better DA. I think Bokeo's car could maybe find high high 12's with an elite driver and a great DA. Also, if your buddy is running less than 12.9's in a stock SRT 300C than he is a hell of a driver. They can run that fast but only the best of the best get those into the 12's stock.

On the matter of weight, I have not seen where anyone has actually has put one of the `11-`12`s on a scale. Mine was 3840 right after the 13.95 run on the scale at US131. That includes my 150 lb body and 45 lb belly. That would make the car weight 3645 with just over 1/2 tank of fuel and nothing removed at all. I really would like to see someone get a weight on a coupe.

Mine is also a Pony Package so has 18" wheels and tires and additional options which obviously add weight. Just wonder what the actual difference is in driving trim.

Anyway, good run Bokeo and continue to enjoy the car!!!

I've seen various magazine quotes but nothing concrete. My best guess would be right around 3500lbs for a base coupe like mine. That makes the most sense as the 'vert S197's usually weigh 100lbs more than the coupes and the rest of the 45lbs could be attributed to the transmission and additional options.
