New track times
yeah i know it sucks. i compared my times to my best with my '95 and the 1/8 mile trap in the '95 is only 1mph faster than my 2000, but it's trapping about 5mph slower thru the quarter. I guess the 4r70 and overrevving it some is hurting it quite a bit lol.
Could the slower 1/4 mile mph simply be due to the 20 mph headwind and nothing else? Like all of you are saying the 1/8 mph to 1/4 mph don't correlate. Maybe after the 1/8 the headwind really has an effect since the vehicle is getting up to higher speeds. I don't know...it's a thought.
Also since you were trapping 102 n/a before, and now 100 n/a (with more mods and less weight) you would think that your nitrous mph should be significantly higher under the proper conditions.

I still blame the wind. That's an extra 20-25 mph of resistance pushing against the front of a car that doesn't exactly have the best aerodynamics to begin with. That resistance quickly snowballs the faster you go. I'd give it another go on a calm day before I changed anything.
I have longtubes to install soon but otherthan that I don't have any big plans the rest of the season. I'm not worried about the na times to be honest now I'm aiming for 11's on spray. I have 150 jets but I'm waiting to put them in until my motors built so if the stocker goes I can have it swapped out quick.
just bought some 28x10 hoosier slicks from my buddies for a very great price. so next time at the track i will be launching on the spray, hopefully since i have an auto my stock rear will hold. lol.
