I agree .. anything with an 'M' badge will give any stock GT (exclusind the 2005+) a run for the money.

I raced prev-gen 2001-2004 GT last night from around 65 to 110. The GT was quick, but by the time 110 hit, I had 3-4 car lengths and I was just starting to really walk away...
not all BMW are push-overs...

2001 BMW M Coupe...
An M would give any stock GT a run for its money period.

In the top end, a 540 or M3 can easily take a GT. Even the E36 M3s will do over 160 mph. C&D tested a 540i 6spd and it actually beat the LS1 Camaro SS to 150 mph (got wasted in the 1/4 though).

2004 Ford Mustang GT 6.0 14.70
2004 Ford Mustang Mach 1 5.66 14.12
anyone else think these were a bit on the high side? sure, some 99-04 GT will run a 14.3 or so, but a mach 1 runnin a 14.12 stock? give me a break

and as far as i knew, some bmw's were fast, especially up high

Those times do suck, it should be more like 14.0 and 13.5 for the GT and the Mach 1, respectively.
