BMW 540i Vs. Me

I agree .. anything with an 'M' badge will give any stock GT (exclusind the 2005+) a run for the money.
I raced prev-gen 2001-2004 GT last night from around 65 to 110. The GT was quick, but by the time 110 hit, I had 3-4 car lengths and I was just starting to really walk away...

In the top end, a 540 or M3 can easily take a GT. Even the E36 M3s will do over 160 mph. C&D tested a 540i 6spd and it actually beat the LS1 Camaro SS to 150 mph (got wasted in the 1/4 though).
