Well screw the title of the thread my everything is being gay as hell and nothing is working for me, but anyways

Buddy of mine has a auto 07 G35 bone stock and has been talking about lining the 2 cars up since my gf got her altima. So finally we did tonight!

Little vew of both cars


Both runs were from a 20 roll

1st run we line them up I start the honks a right after the 2nd honk he kicks it and I still didn't go till after thee 3rd honk lol well he got a big jump and he kep pulling getting about 1 1/2 cars out then my buddy in his 320-340awhp evo 8 comes bearling by me gets on his *** (g35's) patting the gas then I relise I've been on the rev limiter in 3rd for a few seconds haha


2 run we got an even kick on the 3rd honk he pulls out a little over a half car then I hit 3rd and start to pull back getting even with him by the end of 3rd and I pull 4th with a steady pull on him getting him a touch over a half car back when he lets out at around 90.


Before the run he kept saying I was gonna get him by about a car but after the run he said I was pulling on him pretty good and would of kept pulling so there was no need to run any more.... I kinda beg to differ but oh well I say by 120ish I woulda had 1 1/2-2 cars on him. Hope you ejoyed.

 

Good run, 89! Sux about the vid though, lol. Do those cars use basically the same engine?

 

Thanks man and it really pisses me off about the vids, but for the most part the engines are the same but different intake mani's (g35's more for tq) but the g is rated at 272hp vs the se-r's 260hp. And the gearing is a lot higher in the g I think around 3.20ish vs the se-r's 4.13 final drive.

 

Thought you sposed to be sick?? Lmao.... well that should put the Alt right around 14.1-14.2s huh? The g went 14.5s (iirc) and I barely broke 13s..... I got you by 1.5plus and you got him by 1.5plus.... only one way to fond out!! I'm up for another trip to dinwiddie!

 

The g went 14.4's@96-97 and 9.4 in the 1/8th but I'm going to bristol on Sat but I'm not running just watching... Oh an I was feeling better later that day when I was sick

 

Gotcha. All the Nissan and Infiniti stuff can get pretty confusing. My 07 G35 Sedan actually has the HR engine and 3.73 gears, but neither were available that year in the coupes for some screwed up reason. The you have 3.5 liter Maximas that are rated differently, etc.

Did I hear a BOV in that vid? Might of just been some other noise. Good run though, looks like the G35 was getting it pretty good.
