LS1 Growth Hormones, this is bullsh!t!

Very nice stone I wish I coulda been there to see what mine would have trapped, and to maybe relinquish myself with a better 60 FT. However I'm having engine codes running lean on bank 2 so it turns out I did have a problem all along when we were roll racing and at the track. I'm getting the code once a week since October 3rd, been losing about 1.5 MPGs every subsequent tank of gas. I'm down to ~16MPGs, I should be getting 20-22. So i'm running lean on one side of the exhaust but rich in the cylinders, i'm thinking exhaust leak. Cant be bad fuel pump or fuel system because its dumping fuel without any leaking at the injectors(I checked).

So i'm kinda bummed with my car right now I have a wideband A/F kit on the way was gonna spend that money on FLSFCs and/or V6 rims with DRs or slicks on them but now this. Wanted to grab those mods and then call you to see if you wanted to run again but i've been preoccupied with figuring this out and letting the car sit until I fix it. Very nice runs once again, my blower would have loved the cool air.

That def sounds like an exhaust leak, T. I could see you trapping 115 in todays air assuming you were not having problems. I really wanted to pick up headers and a stall before we run again, but I'm game for whatever. I had the money for those parts, then yesterday a buddy offered to sell me his Bushmaster AR-15 for a good price, lol.

Thanks for all the responses guys.... S8er, get a damn tune and show me what's up with some low 12s!

Seasons done until may for us here. Will try to get lts and a tune before then. . I just can't believe how strong that SS is running, I should have skipped the cam and just done a tune to begin with.

Look at it this way, you've already got the pita part out of the way by installing the cam. Now the easy part (tune) is all you need to do to have a much stronger, low 12 car. My guess is 114 traps min.

I can't really believe how well this SS is running either. Really blows my mind how much stronger it is than my 98 was. The 98 could only run a 12.78 at 108-109 with a big 4k stall, gears, suspension, and full bolt-ons... and it needed a 1.7 60' to do it. If I stalled this one, there's no doubt in my mind it would run a 12.1-12.2 at 110+. Headers too, 11s. Just goes to show how different they were from year to year, etc.

That is some insane driving Trey. You should be proud. I doubt there is a faster time out there for a car with your mods.

12.5's would be...........

Thanks brother. I was wondering if anyone else has pulled it off with the exact same set-up. I'm regretting not sticking around another hour for cooler air and getting that 12.59 slip, lol.
