yea its a stick. im guessing you mean what rpm? i have no idea. last night i was just getting the feel of it. its weird, its like i get tunnel vision than i try to rember things and i can lol. anyways, i dont know when the tree starts to light up, i give it a little gas, than i think the first time i just let out the clutch and floored it. the second time i think i let off a little and than floored it. i dont remember. i need to pay attentiont to the details. maybe i will take out the compressor, what else am i going to need it for? but i dont mean weight, i mean like does it put a little more strain on the engine because maybe its a little harder to turn that? yea im thinking of getting a cai to add just a little and im thinking about under pulleys.

ok since you r just starting to get the feeling for the track forget about you rt. When you stage think of what you r doing and try to ride the clutch so that you don't spin too bad. Don't worry abut the guy next to you. Even if your light comes green and you aint rady wait until you r ready then go. Remember just try to get down the track @ the begining. Don't try to beat any car that races on the lane next to you. You'll see howmuch better you do.

if youre running test and tune, dont worry about reaction time..it doesnt mean a damn thing...the best reaction time in the world wont make the ET any faster...worry less about winning the race in test and tune, and more about things like launch rpm, shift points, so on...do you have any idea where you were launching, at all? also, if you were spinning, you said that you have "racing tires"...what kind, and how much air pressure are you running?

yeah thats bad man. you should be low-mid 9's not 10s. dont go for more mods.. go for driving practice. i have 2.3 60 foots but i still go mid 14s, and i have about the same mods.. so something isnt right there.

ok well my launch rpm is way too high at probably 4-5k is a guesstimate. maybe a little less. but i only looked when i did a quick burnout in the box and its probably around the same on the launch. im also shifting at about 5k or a little less possibly. well i really meant street tires i guess. you know the v cut. those are in the back and the front the diamond pattern i think. i think i may be running a little low on pressure. the tire says 40 psi and i think i put in about 35. i will have to double check that. i heard running your tires low wont make too much of a difference and could be dangerous. my guess is my launches just suck horribly with too much tire spin. what do you think about the underpullys? i didnt think about it too much before, but now they seem like a good idea. it says 8-20 hp (from the wheels i guess, not a mod to the engine itself). thanks for the input, i really appreciate it.

i run 15psi in my DRs...and 35 is way too much, even for a normal street tire...are they good tires in the back? you will still want to let some pressure out of the rears, and have the fronts filled well, maybe a bit over but make sure that before you drive home you readjust them all...trying dropping them to 30 or so..maybe a bit lower...most tracks will have an air station, but check first before dropping the pressure real low...when you do a burnout, dont roast them, just clean them off.

you really dont need more mods, unless its going to be a good set of DRs...your car isnt handling the power that you have now, so you dont need more

i dont think there is an air station. the track isnt like a real track. its simply on the side of the parking lot at the stadium. they set it up to keep kids from illegally racing. they use a portatree and trailors and stuff. its pretty well set up but its not like an actual track. so your thinking it is the car which is wrong? what could be wrong with it? my friend has a 351 and has more mods and im keeping up with him which i thought was pretty good.
