yeah 05 v6's are pretty fast but they will never take a v8 assuming both are stock. and mine isnt totally stock. i laid the wood to my buddys 99 v6 by a couple bus lengths and 05 stang v6's have 10 more hp than the 99's? i think i could handle it.
so. my car is close to stock. just a little bit here and a little bit there and 272 hp to the crank. that's more than a 99+ GT. with bolt-ons. was your buddies v6 stock? i think the numbers on the 05 v6 are 210 and the numbers on a 96-98 GT are 215. i don't know torque. and since they weigh almost the same, it it very close. you just have to know how to drive.
Hey matt, I think you are being too nice to bob98gt.

dude why are u arguing. im tryin to explain what would happen when both cars are stock. props to you and yur v6, i'll give u that. but it takes more money to mod a v6 and keep up with a gt and worse a cobra.

true. but the v6 block is stronger than the GT or the pre-03/04 Cobra block. they have taken up to 17 PSI on stock internals. it is cheaper to run a 99+ GT faster than a 99+ v6, but it won't take as much power without going into the engine. i don't want to argue, but you can go crazy with a split-port v6 and have no worries.

Dude, you have 272 HP to the CRANK and you think you think your gonna beat the 05 GT's. hahaha. Yea right, keep dreaming. You will beat a 99-04 GT STOCK and if he has gears and sticky tires your done. Maybe a full exhaust. And your V6 will NEVER sound as good as a V8, no matter how hard you try. I hate to bust your bubble, your not the hottest thing to hit the streets.

blueangel, i wouldnt say that he is a certain loser to a stock 99-04 Gt with gears and good tires...13.51 is pretty decent...

1999 Ford Mustang GT 5.5 14.1
2004 Ford Mustang GT 6.3 14.8
i got these from a pro-ford webpage..im guessing that the second is with an auto trans..but it doesnt say

keep in mind that youre bragging that a modded V8 will easily handle his V6...i think that 13.51 out of an NA V6 is pretty damn good...
