01GT vs Dodge 5.9 Rt
ORIGINAL: Dirty
Those trucks run a mid 13 stock with 500hp. I would call that slow wouldn't you. The Ford lightnings do that and they are only 390hp I think. So yes I think all Dodge trucks are slow from the factory. You can mod anything and make it fast.

Back a Lightning up o a RumbleBee and tie them together. Who is gonna pull who allover the place? Me thinks the Rumble Bee will out pull a lightning any day! It's the torque! Man they can almost pull a mountain!
The SRT-10 is made for the twisties also. It will eat up a Lightning on a road course.
Not sure about the lightnings, but the Viper truck has a rear end suspension design not shared with the regular Ram trucks.
This is a very non-biased thread. I am impressed with this board.
Been to a lot of Mopar only Drag days. Most tweaked [ computer/headers,etc.] 5.9 R/T dakota's are in the mid to high 14's.
Low/mid 15's in stock trim.
Blower versions do run 13's / 12's
I have beat a few near stock dakota R/t's with my Ram 4x4 Hemi [ with 20" rims], at the strip.

All show was just a figure of speech. I know O don't like the way they look either. But they are not good for trying to tow something around. We were talking about speed not towing each other around. But the Hemi would win if we were going for that. But in a straight line the Lightning would kill that Rumble Bee. I have not seen anything on a SRT-10 on a road course but would like to. I still think the light *** end would hurt it in a road course. No weight the thing would be all over the place unless you put a real wide tire on it.
i think that you skipped a word there...or maybe im retarded right now...anyway..the reason that they "only run 13.6s", from speaking with many owners of them, is due to mostly traction issues. evidently they are a nightmare to launch from a dig...also, there have been alot of complaints about the hurst shifter, pertaining to difficulties in finding third gear. one of the earliest mods is often an aftermarket shifter
btw, im not compeltely certain on tire size, but i think that it is a 315 or 325...and its on a 22 inch rim...ill see if i cant find out for sure
