I would go LSX for my fox if it wasn't so much money, I'm a cheap *** obviously.
truck 5.3l lq4 motor, good heads, mild cam, and that thing is stout. Stock bottom end is supposed to be good to like 850hp with some people getting 1k hp on a stock bottom end.
machine for arp bolts, get a proper oiling system, and those motors are VERY stout.
btw, final piece of my supercharger **** is on its way. Guy is finally shipping the adapter........ only took 3 months...

Yea, I told him if he's down for the work do the LS1 swap, otherwise stick to the carbed 383. It will prob just get the 383 in the end. I love how all he does is talk about how he just wants a driver, some nice street car with a decent amount of power. Then he gets a car and all he's worried about is "blowing my doors off" Looks like his street car went out the window as I aim towards drag racing when I build my stuff
