Default 2 good races

Yestrerday I had 2 good races from guys at the local cruise night......
Race 1 - Me (2002 GT) vs. 1978 z28 camero, A guy I went to high school with was at the show and he told me that he thought that his car could beat my stang, so i said well lets see. We went to the local racing spot, (a section of road about 1 mile long that is abandoned b/c of a new highway)and we started from a dead stop. It was no contest , we raced about 0-75 and i had about 6 or 7 car lengths on him. On the way out he yelled over to me " good race" and gave the thumbs up. Cool guy.
race-2 Me vs. 2002 turbo jetta with a manual tranny. This guy was a complete dumb ***. He first pointed out to me that my "rustang" weighed in excess of 4000lbs and that "mustangs were never made to go fast". He went on proving his vast knowledge of cars by saying that "superchargers dont do anything." After looking under the hood of my car he informed me that if i drilled holes in the stock air filter housing it would act as a CAI and add at least 20hp. He modded his jetta with a CAI and a hole cut into the muffler to give it that oh so sweet rice sound (same as buying a performance exhaust in his opinion). I pointed out to him that his painted air vents must add 15+ HP, picking up on my sarcasm he challenged me. Well we went off to the racing spot and he told me that with his front wheel drive he cant start from a dead stop but needs a 10mph roll so i agreed. On three beeps we went. He had about 1/2 car lead on me but then the stang kicked in and had him smoked by about 4 car lengths (i will admit it is pretty quick, i think a 6er would have some trouble wit one of those). Upon finishing the race he told me that the only reason I won is b/c he messed up his shifting so i said ok lets go again. The second time i had him by about 5 or 6 car lengths. After this he didnt stop and talk but instead left in a storm of rice yelling mustangs suck.
I dont want this to turn into a bashing imports post (my best bud drives a riced celica) but why is it that they are usually sore losers? It seems liek the chevy vs. ford guys buried the hatchet and have banded together lately b/c a lot of domestic guys comment my car or give it the thumbs up while the imports fart at me......just a few thoughts

True True, thats the reason we must hate on imports, and by imports I do not mean all, they as a generality are sore losers. You race a Chevy regardless of who wins it ends up with a good race man, or worst case I missed a shift can we go once more? never excuses. Imports always, if they do win, rub it in to an extreme (which I can proudly say I have never ran into, knock on wood. But I have only owned the stang for about a month) or they are full of excuses why they lost. And I hate saying this about "imports" in general. I mean imports also include great cars that are made in europe, and also the very few awesome japanese cars (i.e. Supra, STI, EVO, RX-7, 3KGT(VR4's), and of course the car I will always want, but lack the $80,000, the Skyline R-34, yes I did leave out a couple others) But it's that bad attitude about every car that doesn't rock the "terrifying" H on the hood that pisses people off. I will always compliment a well put together vehicle, regardless if it was made by blue collar worker, ching chang or a guy who's grandfather was stuffing people in gas chambers 60 years ago. I will show every car and driver the respect they earn/deserve.

On another topic, around here, im wondering if anyone else has this same issue. I am yet to run into any domestic that was to mess with me, aside from other Mustangs. I can sit at a red light between a SS Camaro and a 96 3.8L Mustang, me and the Camaro will exchange "Nice car man." But the dude in the Mustang will be begging for me to race him, "C'mon dude lets go, try and keep up" To his regret that his radio was to loud to hear my downpipes rumbling. I know people want to compare their cars to everyones elses regardless of make, but why is it always other Stangs?

Not a lot of mustang v muatang around here (buffalo Ny) only raced 1 other mustang. A 03'GT that turned out to be suprcharged, needless to say I got my *** handed to me. I have never raced a SS Camero or Ls1 Bird, those guys never want to go and just give the thumbs up. Forget about Vette's , I think you gotta show your AARP member card to buy one around here. It seems that the 6cyl Cameros always want a piece tho. Also the old IROC cameros like to play. But most of the time around here its always the ricers, and by ricer I dont mean Import, I mean fart can, unpainted body kit, fake guage, Picknick bench spoiler RICEBURNER. They always start with their weedwacker exhaust, always act like hardasses and always get embarassed, often multiple times. I dont just mean the **** mobiles or the japanese cars but also the "domestic" riceburners such as the riced focus, escort, probe, sunfire, grand am and even a dodge stratus. With this compettition i can honestly and without shame say that the only race i have lost was against another Mustang. Only a close call with one of those SRT-4's (which are the spawn of the devil)comes close to another loss.
btw nice kill with the EVO seight311, i have yet to run into 1 of those, but beware of the 3.8V6 stang, some of those got some whoop *** under the hood!

Around here theres very few if any beefed up 3.8L's, ALOT I mean tons of 4.6L, about a dozen of them with superchargers. A few 3.8's will mess with me occasionally but most are driven by chicks and old dudes. those 4.6 always want some. And around here there are lots of the idiots, you know the kids in minivans, and old escorts, and es neons. All those rediculous revs. Anyhow thanks for the victory compliment. Keep showing em whats up. Send some of those riceburners down here, it never gets old spanking them even when your just casually driving away from a stoplight.
