This one is funny... I was on the way back to Jacksonville from Orlando and I had three friends in the car. Normally, I wouldn't even think about racing with a full load... but I came behind a civic and my buddy stuck his head out the window to listen to the car (He knows a lot more about that stuff than I do). He said that the "fart can" was its only mod from what he could tell. I went around to pass the Civic, and I still wasn't going to race. He was going the speed limit, and I was going 5 over. I said "Watch this... every Civic owner I've ever passed has done a ricer flyby" I passed him and got a car length ahead just driving normal. All the sudden I heard his diarrhea cannon kick in at full force. I was already in 4th gear and didn't even bother downshifting. I just floored it until about 110 until he was just a glimmer in my rear view mirror.

... normally that would be the end of the story. Of course you know that there has to be the ricer flyby, and there was. I slowed back down to about 70 and he flew by me. I started following him, out of sheer curiosity. Anyway all I saw was smoke after that. The guy blew his engine all to hell.

I don't understand it. I know the Civics have some potential... I've seen it. Why do people put fart cans on them and think they're driving Skylines??? It's just a waste of a reliable car in my opinion.

 

he can tell by listening going 60+mph? i wish i could hear a nitrous bottle. good race though.

 

Well, my buddy is full of s*** sometimes, but he still knows more about it than I do.

Oh and the nitrous thing... I got my *** kicked by a civic with nitrous. I consider it cheating though because when we were at the light I told him I was stock and he told me all he had was exhaust and intake so I said let's go. I beat him off the line and had about 2 cars on him then I heard that devastating wwwwrrrssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh sound and I said "oh, s***, I'm about to look like an *** in front of my girlfriend... not to mention my friend in a 94 Cobra was right behind me so of course I had to hear it from him. He didn't want to believe that this nitrous Civic would have probably beaten him too. He was too busy making fun of my for driving a V6.\

Oh I understand that completely. I have a lot of respect for "sleeper" cars, and if he would have told me he had the nitrous I probably would have still raced him just to have fun and see a fast car. I just think it's messed up when they don't tell you.

Then again... when I supercharge this b****, I'm not putting a "supercharged" emblem on it either... and if I had nitrous, there wouldn't be a "nitrous injected" emblem either, so I understand what you're saying.

I dont think the people with nitrous are cheating Im jus glad the eclipse i raced had an empty bottle or i woulda lost bad
