Default A fellow mustang!

Around where I live, most mustangs are driven by ladies (no offence ment). And the few that aren't, have no intentions of messing around. BUT, today was the day I ran into a Stang willing to play! He was even the one to edge me on, so of course I took the hook.

On the way back from an important meeting with my GF's family (take a guess) I ran into this Silver Conv New Edge Mustang GT. As always when I see a mustang, I go a little faster to catch up to have a look see. As I was about a half a car behind him he stepped on it (automatic), with me hot on his tail, luckily there was a red light about 2 blocks up ahead. We got to talking and he told me he had a CAI, Exhaust, Tune/Chip. (I have 4:10 gears, exhaust,CAI, bigger injectors, bigger TB, a tune). He expressed his excitment about this being the first mustang he has gotten to race. (This was my first real race with a mustang, but I had another with an automatic, but I had TC on and still won)

The light turned green and we had a slow take off as we never really finalized a yes or no to a race, but he stepped on it at about 15 MPH and took a half a car length, but I was ready, I was in 1st gear at about 15MPH and reeled him back in, in no time. Grabbing 2nd shortly after and putting about a car length and a half on him (He couldn't get any traction at all in the first two gears), then grinding into 3rd but still pulling. I ended up cutting it off at about 95MPH. After giving our thumbs up and a wave I had to exit off onto my road shortly after, because I knew i'd have to write this up and put it in the books =).

I honestly thought he would have done a lot better being an automatic WITH a tune. I didn't really think all of my mods would make such a big difference, except my 4:10 gears and tune, but I'm not complaining haha. I am thinking about putting some NITTO Drag Dradials on the back sometime soon, I was really spinning in 1st and a little in 2nd (even though my tires are almost brand new)

^ Good run man.

Keep in mind there are other ways to increase traction aside from using imported drag radials on what I presume to be a daily driver...

Gears are night and day on those cars... as you already know they are anemic down low, keeping the rpms up makes a drastic change to how well they perform. Add in the extra weight from him being a vert...I'm not surprised at all. Good Kill
