are the new speed3 still dying at 5500 rpm ? they used to face plant at that rpm , I remember 1st and 2nd gear the boost was limited by the ecu to control torque steer and wheel hop .

Yeah, 5750rpm is all you get on stock tune before falling out of boost HARD. And in 1st and 2nd gear it comes fast lol, i remember when i would drive my 2V i could keep my eyes on the road and just listen for "that right time" to shift because the gears were so long. Now, i pretty much have to glance at the road to make sure im going straight, then keep my eyes on the tach.

Thats kinda what I figured. Right as I was making my 1-2 shift he did jerk to the right slightly which I figured was torque steer. I guess I should be glad he pulled up along side me at a light instead of on the highway.
