Suspension is stiff because it's not a drag car, it's made for corners and s**t.
And a stock EVO sould be able to walk a mostly stock WRX w/35 shot
You're talking 270+ hp and ft-lbs versus 227/217 stock. The guy in the WRX was an idiot for thinking he was going to win, unless he is a good driver and he thought he was going to race the guy with the broken leg.

If he had an STi,with equal mods as the EVO 8, then he should have waxed the EVO.

How many times did you launch at 6500? If it's more than twice, I'm surprised your friends clutch is still existant. lol

C&D did a head to head comparison of an EVO 8 and an STi. The STi was faster on 1/4 mile times and 60 ft times. They liked the EVO handling a little better but the WRX STi was definitely faster.
He's not talkin about 2 stock cars here both had mods...the Evo having more mods,

I think they both should have been neck to neck prolly come down to better drivers....but dude launchin at 6500 rpm's?? thats nuts u dont launch an awd car that high maybe 3500-4000 rpm's but 6500?? lol ur lucky u didnt blow something

My friends car is no where near stock. . . and he was on C12 race gas.
WAY UPPED BOOST
It may feel good now, but it can't stand up to that kind of launch for long..
