I decided to go for a little cruise last night as I turn on to my friends road a 07 sti turns before me so I follow him.Well he ends up stopping so I pull up beside him and he asked if I wanted to run from a dig which I couldnt being I have a bad 2nd gear synchro.We end up doing a 30 roll and on the third honk we go I had him about 3 car length all the way up to 130. I thought these cars where faster then the new edge mustangs?Oh btw my car is a 02 gt with catback slp exhaust,75 mm upper plenum and throttle body,and a k&n cold air.

Good kill man but if it was stock it they run close to mid 13's and sounds like you could have beat the driver too.

 

They excel from a dead stop... (low to mid 13s at a little over 100mph trap) from a roll on I wouldn't expect much from one. They driver would have to nail the perfect gear to start with (short gearing if memory serves) and they would definitely need to be on their game.

I would have expected a close race but good kill.

 

Pulled a car length on an STI back when i had my new edge, all i had was a k&n drop in/ air silencer delete and gutted trunk, which prob didn't help much. The best time i had was a 14.2@99, so from a roll you should be ok, as long as they are close to stock....

Buddy has an 11 STI and from a dig he leaves me in the dust and I play catch up but from a roll I can jump about 1 car length or so and stay there up to 120ish.
