Got beat!
I have a 2007 Saleen Heritage 281 with a Edelbrock blower putting out 450 to the drivers, which are 20" Nitti 555s. I was alongside a Jag with a V12 and , I think, a turbo. Anyway, she stood on it, then I realised what she was doing and got on the gas. As soon as the blower came in, I couldnt keep the rear wheels hooked up. I think we were about even on HP, but she whooped my ***.The car has Saleen suspension but she wont hook up. Any ideas?
summer tires just dont work in the cold i have pilot supersport 295's and cant even come close to decent traction below 70*.. easily breaking the tires loose at 30-70 mph in 2nd gear with stock gears, stock hp...(on a 5.0)
wait until the summer, a better road surface, or go to the track. Some all season tires may hook better for you in the cold but probably not worth it in florida.

yeah - what temperature was it? anywhere around 45 or under and you will have trouble hooking up on Summer tires in the cold.
one thing I miss about my WRX is how easily I crapped on all of the RWD cars with summer tires in the winter time .. ha ha. made me smile dumping on 500+hp cars with my lil 300hp guy : )
don't stress it - if you can't hook up, you can't go fast, and people know that.

1993-1997 Daimler Double-Six (XJ81 and X305) In 1985, Tom Walkinshaw Racing became Jaguar's official team in World Endurance Championship, taking over the project from American team Group 44. Their first car, XJR6, used the 6.0 L engine, but in the following year the engine was upgraded to 6.9 L and in 1988 the XJR9 used the engine's most famous displacement of 7.0 L. By 1991, the V12 was good for 7.4 L inside the XJR12, developing an impressive 750 bhp (559 kW)
TWR also upgraded production Jaguar cars (usually XJ-Ss), with a variety of styling, handling and performance modifications. Most of the cars thus modified were straight from the Jaguar factory and sold through Jaguar dealerships.
If it was a turbo, it was an aftermarket addition.
