Default Race the SS

Took the wife's stock auto SS to the track this week. Super easy car to drive. 13.5s@104 with 2.0 sixty. My two runs both looked exactly the same. I was disapointed with the MPH but I think the car might have been in low octane mode. Well get it back in a few weeks with CAI and a tune and see how we make out. The wife ran it 4 times. First run was a 15.8@87 LOL. By the end of the night she had it down to 14 flat@104 with a 2.3 sixty. Plus she loved all the attention she got being the only woman out racing.

Very respectable times for a bone stock A4 SS. I was thinking it should trap 107ish, but like you said it may of been in low octane. I'm predicting a high 12 at closer to 110 when you run again with the tune.

Yeah you're supposed to do the fuse pull before running to get around the octane BS... the numbers look like it was on low octane tables for sure. A tune will change all that drastically, can't wait to see the difference.

Looking forward to what it can do with a tune/cai. When are we going to get to see the '95 run down the track?

I'll be happy with anything over 108

I would have done the fuse pull. But we were in a hurry. I worked that day and left for the track as soon as I got home. Next time I'll do all the tricks. Let a little air out of the tires, pull fuses, etc.

It's real close to making a pass. It's got a slight electrical gremlin right now so my builder is working that out for me. Then it's just a matter of welding in the cage and going. I'm predicting 10.8s for the stang.

The autos are supposed to be getting high 12s and the sticks mid 12s. Very driver dependant. I raced a young guy with all the bolt-ons in a LS3 car and beat him by 5 lenths just because he was dumping his clutch and cutting 2.4 sixtys all night.
