HELP!! 71 vs 05 EVO!!
if you only beat a RSX by a couple of lengths then you most likely dont have the fastest car in school for one... and if you do, your gunna get waxed by the evo, those are good for mid 13s stock with a decent driver, my guess is that your in the mid 14s range, any srt-4, colbalt SS, s2000, 350z etc. will sit with that prob even beat that....
Seriously your tires are a MUCH bigger performance issue than some dual intake sketchy thing you want to do. If he tries, like most do that don't know, to launch at 2500-3000 in that AWD, I think you'll have a shot at it. He should be launching like everyone else said at about 5500, don't tell him that though. Get tires on yours, and go early if theres a test and tune time, get your launches down. Run him once, beat him, then get the hell out of there because if he figures out how to drive that thing your toast. P.S. depending on how far you live from the track and the nearest gas station, put between 1/8 and a 1/4 in your tank, every little bit's going to help it seems.

The Evo will pull a 1.7 60' time stock if driven right, it's AWD a 5500 rpm launch is all it takes

Being that the EVOs have weak clutches, and that he's probably 17 with daddy's car... that he's not going to pull 1.7 60 foots, especially on the street. This 71 might have a good chance at reeling him down.
I have a video somewhere on my HD of an STI doing donuts... it's pretty badass =p
Yeah just buy really sticky DRs. You'll need all the help you can get off the line. You really never know tho! If the kid is in school (high school I'm guessing?) and just got a brand new 05 EVO, chances are he has no idea how to drive. Practice your launch, practice your shifting, and get good tires. I say you have a good chance
