That's interesting that the V6's have stronger blocks than the V8's (i think). What exactly determines the strength? The angle of the block?

So the block strength should be the same?
Yep. Only the 4.0L engines are considered stronger in the V6 family.
it's not stronger. it is more powerful stock, that's about it

Yeah, I'm actually fairly impressed with those V6 blocks after what they did to that notch in a recent MM&FF.

That green notch with the bored/stroked 01 3.8? Yeah that's a nice *** car. fugger ran 10.6s. But that thing is built to hell and back also.

Not to be a dick but my ex had a 99 zx2 auto and I had a 96 v6 stang auto(slowest car ever) but she never beat me exept for off the line. What happened there, cause that car used to lose to the occasional focus. BTW nice kill

Better?95gt vs 96gt. Well power for power they are almost identical. The torque and power curves differ somewhat. The 4.6l from 99-04 is a whole different ballgame.I have driven a 95 and i have a 99 and its no comparison.

So then why do you only find them (until recently) in the Ford SUVs and Trucks? The new 4.0L in the Mustangs is a carryover from teh truck line because of it's durability and strength.

If I lost to a stock, or semi stock Zx2, I'd burn my car!
