Fastest stock 03-04 Cobra time?
I just got my GM High Tech Performance 10 year anniversary issue and it had a coupla older articles in there, one with a test on a stock '04 Corvette Z06 and another on a stock '01 Camaro SS. The Z06 went 11.97 @ 118 in great weather, the SS went 12.96 @ 107 in crappy weather. MM & FF was there the same day as the Camaro test and tested the Bullitt at 13.91 with the same driver (Evan Smith). It got me thinking: if these N/A cars are capable of these kinda times bone stock on street tires, what could a blown Cobra do with a good driver? Anybody know what the best ET is for a bone stock Cobra from a reputable source, such as MM & FF or maybe one of the board members here? Just curious.

12.9 is what most of the sites say. but that with a pro driver so im guessing any where from 12.7-13.4 from 100-108mph

Wow... are you kidding? With a pro driver in a cobra trapping at 100? What are you smoking.
Hell my stock slow *** GT traps at 97ish. My car should trap aroudn 100 with a pro driver.

GMHTP ran a stock '98 Camaro to a 12.89 a while back in really good weather. So the Cobra has to be faster than 12.7, right? 12.5 sounds a lot better to me.
Then again, I guess when you start going up in horsepower the stock tires become more of a hinderance.

Well, my friend (and landlord 
) has just a pully and diablo tune and he ran a 11.9 @ 114 mph. I know he isnt TOTALLY stock. I would say that if you have ***** to bolt on some slicks and launch the car at 4000 rpms, then you could probably pull off a 12.4-12.5 with good shifts.
