my 94 cobra vs 08 gt
Soo this guy wants too run my 94 cobra (exhaust, 3.73 gears) with his 08 stock gt with exhaust. I think i will walk him since i do on fairly stock foxbodies. What do you guys think.?

Well... your car has 13.975 lbs per horsepower, his has 11.6. It is a clear advantage to him in this case. This is based on wikipedia's numbers for hp and weight assuming both are manual coupes.
Either way you don't have much of a weight advantage unless you take a lot out, and he has 300hp to your 240hp unless your exhaust upgrade is headers back and a tune, even then i don't see enough hp to make up the difference.
Good luck, have fun, and drive safe, and I hope you go to a track... even if I doubt that it will happen lol

The only way that you will win this race is if your buddy can't drive. Also, no way can you compare a 05 and above GT to a stockish fox body. Totally different car.

A 94 Cobra could put up a good fight with gears and exhaust especially if you are running long tubes and you can launch.. I would avoid roll racing him though if you don't want to lose haha.
The stock 240 BHP rating is believed to be low by many on the interwebz..

Maybe for a New Edge (99-04) but not a S197...

^ Depends, but a 5.0 Cobra with exhaust (longtubes) and gears should see high 13's with a good 60'. Now I have no idea what the OP's exhaust set up is..or the 3V's for that matter.
It won't make 3V power, but it should be enough to keep it interesting haha.

With equal drivers, it would take a major N/A build (H/C/I...gears, headers, etc,) for an SN95 5.0 to even run with a stock S197..........From what I've seen, the SN95 5.0 is slower than even the 4.6. 2V.
