Default Rare run

Either the kid had Daddy's car or he was a spoiled little schit........I had a rare encounter with a Panamera GTS. Sadly it was a short sprint, but I couldn't resist. Youngster pulls up next to me and clearly mouths ruststang at a light. I guess he either didn't know this is a Shelby or like most rich kids thinks that the name Porsche rhymes with GOD. I quickly disabused him of his grandiose thinking. The light turns green and I launched hard with some feathering of the clutch, hit second full on and frankly walked his ****. This is my first run since getting the 888s and I'm darn happy with them. 1st of course still wants to spin, but not smoke and turn sideways like before and 2nd pretty much grips and goes. Traffic comes up and when we get next to each other again he absolutely will not look over, but I can tell by the way he was white knuckling the wheel that it was not pleasant for him

Nice. Should have gave him some kind of salute as you drove off!

Oh, you can be sure I did, thumb and forefinger about 2 inches apart were adequate. At least the people laughing around us thought so

Good run! Are you considering switching to a longer gear than the 4.10's? Seem like overkill honestly

I have seriously thought about dropping to a 3.73 or even 3.55 so it will be more in town friendly. On the other hand third gear and above are wonderful with the 4.10s

And if I pulley/tune it higher gears will be even more desirable

I'd leave the 4.10s, just don't hit it so hard in 1st/2nd. Good run man, you're exactly right about him probably thinking Porsche rhymes with God, lol. I bet he's one of those kids that judges how fast a car by the top speed on the speedometer.
